History Made! Diljit Dosanjh Headlines Wembley, First Punjabi Artist to Achieve Milestone

Diljit Dosanjh is set to make history on September 12, 2025, by headlining London’s prestigious Wembley Stadium. This monumental event will mark his largest-ever European concert, as he becomes the first Indian and first Punjabi artist to command the iconic 90,000-capacity venue. This achievement follows Arjit Singh's groundbreaking performance as the first Indian to headline a stadium show in the U.K. at the neighboring Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier in 2025.
The announcement of Dosanjh's Wembley concert was made during his show in Toronto on Sunday, May 31, 2025, at the city’s Rogers Centre. During this announcement, the Punjabi superstar highlighted that he would be joining an elite group of artists, including Michael Jackson, Queen, and Prince, who have previously headlined the legendary stadium. Wembley Stadium is also slated to host other major global acts in the coming months, such as Harry Styles, My Chemical Romance, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, and Bon Jovi, underscoring its status as a premier concert destination.
Dosanjh’s last performance in the English capital took place in October 2024, when he headlined the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena. Demand for his upcoming Wembley show is anticipated to be high, with tickets scheduled for an artist presale on June 10, 2025, at 10 a.m. BST, followed by a general onsale beginning on June 12, 2025, at 10 a.m. BST, available through Live Nation.
Currently, Diljit Dosanjh is in the midst of his "Aura" world tour, the North American leg of which commenced in Vancouver in April 2025. Throughout this tour, he has already headlined several significant arenas, including two sold-out shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The North American leg is set to conclude with a pair of performances at San Francisco’s Chase Center on June 20 and 21, 2025.
In 2025, Dosanjh released his 15th studio album, also titled "Aura." The year has been marked by several notable milestones for the artist. In January, he unveiled a new version of his popular song “Senorita” featuring global reggaeton star J Balvin. May saw his inaugural attendance at the prestigious Met Gala in New York, a significant fashion and cultural event. Furthermore, in April, he made his second appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," where he promoted his recent EP, "The Call of the Panjab," further cementing his international presence.
