The highly anticipated nominations for the upcoming Grammy Awards are set to be unveiled on Friday, November 7, commencing with a live stream at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET. This event will feature a diverse group of prominent artists and industry figures announcing the nominees across various categories. Among the notable individuals participating in the announcement livestream are Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Brandi Carlile, Doechii, Angelique Kidjo, CeCe Winans, David Foster, Jon Batiste, Karol G, Little Big Town, Lizzo, Masaki Koike, Mumford and Sons, and Sam Smith. Additional presenters include Gayle King, co-host of CBS Mornings, and Dr. Chelsey Green, who serves as the chair of the Recording Academy’s board of trustees.
Several artists involved in the announcement are also strong contenders for nominations themselves, based on their recent works and past successes. Sabrina Carpenter, a two-time Grammy winner from the February telecast, is a likely candidate for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Manchild,” as well as Album of the Year for “Man’s Best Friend.” Chappell Roan, who earned Best New Artist earlier this year, could see nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for her track “The Subway.” Doechii, recognized with the 2025 award for Best Rap Album, is a potential nominee for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Anxiety.”
Brandi Carlile, an artist with an impressive 11 Grammy wins, is expected to receive a nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for “Who Believes in Angels?,” her collaborative effort with Elton John. Furthermore, Scherzinger, who recently won a Tony for Best Actress for “Sunset Blvd.” in June, is a strong contender for a Best Musical Theater Album nomination. These artists represent a blend of established Grammy veterans and rising stars, highlighting the breadth of talent recognized by the Academy.
The nomination livestream will be accessible on the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel. Immediately following the announcements, a wrap-up show will air to provide further commentary and analysis. Looking ahead, the Grammy telecast will air on CBS for the final time on February 1. Starting with the 2027 telecast, the awards ceremony will transition to ABC and Disney, marking a significant change in its broadcasting partnership.
