Gordon Ramsay's £325 Christmas Meal: Key Ingredient Still Missing!

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is making headlines for two distinct reasons: a significant price increase for his Christmas Day restaurant meals and the imminent launch of the UK's first Hell's Kitchen restaurant. At his Belgravia establishment, Pétrus, the seven-course Christmas Day menu has been hiked to £325 per person. This price, which is £35 more than two years prior, notably excludes traditional turkey and features dishes such as potimarron tart, lobster ravioli, Dover sole with black truffle, and deer, along with a passion fruit and coconut sorbet and caramel tarte tatin. Including a 15 percent “discretionary” service charge, the total bill for the festive meal reaches £374 per head.
Meanwhile, Ramsay is set to introduce his globally renowned Hell’s Kitchen brand to British soil for the first time. Following a partnership with The Clermont Hotel Group, the UK’s inaugural Hell’s Kitchen restaurant will open next year at The Cumberland Hotel in Marble Arch, London. This expansion marks a significant step for the brand, which already boasts locations in Las Vegas, Miami, other US cities, and Ibiza.
Hell’s Kitchen is conceptualized as an “immersive dining experience” centered around an open kitchen, allowing diners to witness the culinary drama unfold live. Ramsay’s team has promised a substantial amount of “theatre and performance” from the chefs. The menu is anticipated to blend popular US dishes, including seared foie gras, pan-seared scallops, various steaks, lamb chops, and Ramsay’s signature beef Wellington, with additional UK-exclusive specials. The new London venue is designed to offer a more relaxed atmosphere, aligning with the casual dining style of Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen establishments rather than his more formal fine-dining restaurants such as Pétrus or Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.
