Ghana Prophet Ebo Noah Faces Court Over 'Fake Prophecy', Remanded for Psychiatric Exam!

Ebo Noah, also known by his birth name Evans Eshun, a content creator who gained public notoriety for propagating a doomsday prophecy of a global flood, has been remanded into custody by the Adenta District/Circuit Court. He has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation at the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital before his next court appearance. His arrest and subsequent court proceedings have garnered significant public attention, stemming from his claims that the world would end on December 25, 2025, due to a catastrophic flood.
Eshun, who adopted the moniker “Ebo Noah” to align with his new content genre, had publicly declared that God had warned him of an impending global flood. In preparation for this alleged disaster, he constructed what he described as an "ark" at his premises, asserting it would save humanity. His message, which shifted from comic to religious content after he reportedly received a divine vision, went viral, even attracting the attention of international media in the US and UK. He urged people to prepare and enter his ark before the specified date.
When the predicted cataclysm failed to materialize on December 25, 2025, Noah reportedly revised his prophecy, claiming his intercessory prayers had successfully postponed the destruction. This claim came after global weather forecasters indicated a less than 1% chance of such a flood occurring. Shortly after the failed prophecy, the self-acclaimed prophet was observed partying and even made an appearance at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic event, further fueling public skepticism and calls for his arrest.
The Ghana Police Service's Special Cyber Vetting Team took Ebo Noah into custody on December 31, 2025. He made his first court appearance at the Adenta District/Circuit Court on Friday, January 2, 2026. He faces multiple charges, including false communication, causing fear and panic, publishing false news, and intentionally misleading the public. The court has remanded him into police custody for two weeks, with his next hearing scheduled for January 16, 2026, pending the outcome of his mandatory mental health assessment.
