Frito-Lay has announced a voluntary recall of select bags of Miss Vickie’s Spicy Dill Pickle potato chips across six states.
This urgent announcement, made in collaboration withthe Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on March 4, pertains to products that may inadvertently contain jalapeño-flavored chips.
The critical concern is the presence of an undeclared milk allergen in these mispackaged chips.
Individuals with a milk allergy or sensitivity face the risk of a serious allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product.
While Frito-Lay has proactively initiated the recall, no allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue.
Consumers can identify the recalled chips by specific product details.
The affected product is 'Miss Vickie's Spicy Dill Pickle' potato chips, sold in 8 oz bags. Key identifiers include the UPC: 0 28400 761772, a 'Guaranteed Fresh' date of April 21, 2026, and specific manufacturing codes: 38U301414 and 48U101514.
These chips were distributed and sold as early as January 15, 2026.
The recalled products were available at various retailers, including grocery, convenience, and drug stores, within the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
If you possess the affected chips, Frito-Lay advises visiting the Miss Vickie's website to request a full refund.
It is crucial for consumers witha milk allergyto dispose of the recalled chips immediately and not consume them. For individuals without a milk allergy, the chips are otherwise considered safe for consumption.
