Final Call? Metallica's Epic 2026-2027 Sphere Run Won't See Added Dates

Legendary metal band Metallica has expressed immense gratitude and excitement following the overwhelming fan response to their upcoming "Life Burns Faster" residency at Las Vegas' state-of-the-art venue, Sphere. Initially planned for just eight nights, the residency has been expanded multiple times, ultimately reaching an impressive 24 shows due to unprecedented demand from their dedicated fanbase.

In a recent message shared on Instagram, the band conveyed their astonishment and appreciation, stating, "Wow! What a week. We are so appreciative and grateful to all of you for the incredible response to our upcoming Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere in Las Vegas. We are completely and utterly blown away and cannot believe that we will have 24 amazing nights on stage there, all thanks to you and a record-breaking week." This expansion pushed the band's commitment at Sphere well into 2027, with the latest additions extending into March of that year.

While acknowledging the enthusiastic demand, Metallica has confirmed that, for now, no additional shows will be added to the current 24-night run. However, they've left the possibility open for future engagements at the innovative venue. The band also addressed concerns regarding the ticket-buying experience, noting, "In the meantime, we hear you loud and clear that the ticket-buying process was often frustrating and not always smooth. We’re working with our partners to improve this experience and offer some remedies for the next time around."

The "Life Burns Faster" residency at Sphere is set to kick off on October 1, following a series of European dates as part of their ongoing M72 tour, which begins May 9 in Athens, Greece, and concludes July 5 at London Stadium. A key highlight of the Sphere gigs will be the continuation of their "No Repeat Weekend" tradition, a feature introduced with the 2023 launch of their M72 world tour. This means fans attending consecutive shows on a Thursday and Saturday can expect unique setlists, with no songs repeated across those two nights, ensuring a distinct experience for each performance.

The full list of Metallica Life Burns Faster residency dates at Sphere includes: October 1 & 3, October 8 & 10, October 15 & 17, October 22 & 24, October 29 & 31, November 5 & 7, January 28 & 30, February 4 & 6, February 18 & 20, February 25 & 27, March 4 & 6, and March 11 & 13.

Metallica eagerly anticipates exploring new frontiers with fans from around the world in Las Vegas, promising an unforgettable series of performances at the cutting-edge Sphere venue.
