FIFA World Cup 2026 Playoffs: CAF Unleashes Key Dates and Venues

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the dates and venues for the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs. This mini-tournament is set to feature four prominent African nations vying for a crucial spot in the intercontinental playoffs, ultimately competing for Africa's tenth and final berth at the prestigious 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The playoff event is scheduled to take place between November 13 and November 16, hosted entirely in the city of Rabat, Morocco. The semi-final matches will be held on November 13 across two venues: El Barid Stadium and the Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex. The opening semi-final will see Nigeria go head-to-head with Gabon at 5 PM. Later that day, at 8 PM, the second semi-final will feature a clash between Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The culmination of the tournament, the grand final, is slated for November 16. This decisive match will be contested at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Stadium. The team that emerges victorious from this intense competition will earn the right to advance to the intercontinental playoffs, thereby securing a chance to clinch Africa’s last qualification spot for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
