Ex-UFC Star Darren Till Joins Conor McGregor's BKFC Empire

Former UFC fighter Darren Till has officially signed a multi-fight deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) and is set to make his debut on May 30 at BKFC 90. The event will take place inside Birmingham, England's Utilita Arena. Till recently confirmed his departure from Misfits Boxing, where he had compiled an impressive 3-0 record under their banner.

During his time with Misfits Boxing, Till secured victories over MMA veterans Anthony Taylor and Darren Stewart. He then delivered a notable knockout to former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, capturing the promotion's bridgerweight title in August. This successful stint followed his departure from the UFC in 2023, where he had lost five of his final six bouts.

The 33-year-old is expected to debut in BKFC in a 185-pound bout, though his opponent has yet to be determined. Upon the announcement, Till expressed his excitement, stating, "I am very pleased to be signing with the BKFC. It's an amazing promotion! F*** everyone on this roster, I'm coming to be the face of violence. No one can beat me."

BKFC has gained increasing popularity in recent years, despite being surrounded by controversy, with the first sanctioned bare-knuckle fight in the US in 130 years occurring in Wyoming in 2018. The promotion also boasts high-profile connections, with UFC icon Conor McGregor being a part owner through his company, McGregor Sports and Entertainment, which acquired a stake in April 2024. Olympic gold medalist and former two-time IBF super-middleweight champion James DeGale has also competed under the BKFC banner.

Till confirmed his departure from the KSI-fronted Misfits Boxing "on extremely good terms" after his three fights. He conveyed his appreciation for the promotion, its owners, promoters, and behind-the-scenes staff, indicating that it was simply "time to try my hand at something else."
