Euphoria's Latest Episode Ignites Streaming, Pulls in Staggering 8.5 Million Viewers

The highly anticipated second episode of “Euphoria” Season 3 has captivated a vast audience, garnering an impressive 8.5 million viewers across HBO and HBO Max within its initial three days of availability. This viewership figure notably matched that of the season premiere, underscoring the consistent high demand for the series. These statistics, encompassing viewership solely within the U.S., were meticulously measured and reported by Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD).

Highlighting its growing appeal, Sunday’s episode achieved a remarkable 32% increase in viewership compared to the second episode of Season 2, which had drawn 6.4 million viewers in its first three days when it aired in 2022. This substantial surge in popularity is largely attributed to the skyrocketing fame of “Euphoria” stars such as Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi, whose profiles have significantly risen since the previous season.

The Season 3 premiere itself has demonstrated exceptional staying power, escalating from its initial three-day tally of 8.5 million to an impressive more than 12.3 million viewers in the U.S. Furthermore, its global reach has surpassed 20 million viewers, marking a significant 68% improvement over the global viewership attained by the Season 2 premiere within the same timeframe. WBD has also noted that Season 3 of “Euphoria” stands as one of the three most-watched returning HBO seasons in the entire history of the HBO Max platform, although specific metrics for this accolade were not disclosed. The series has consistently held the top position as the No. 1 series on HBO Max globally since the debut of its third season.

“Euphoria” boasts a talented ensemble cast beyond its leading trio, including Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Colman Domingo, Eric Dane, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, and Toby Wallace, among others. The critically acclaimed series was brought to life by creator Sam Levinson, who also serves as an executive producer alongside a distinguished team that includes Ashley Levinson, Sara E. White, Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Mirit Toovi, Tmira Yardeni, Yoram Mokady, and Gary Lennon.
