DSS Arrests Rogue Ex-Officers Over Impersonation and Fraud Scheme

The Department of State Services (DSS) in Nigeria has announced the apprehension of two of its dismissed personnelaccording to the daily trust website, Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, who were accused of fraudulent activities. These individuals were allegedly using the Service's name to engage in various schemes, prompting the DSS to issue public disclaimers regarding their disassociation from the duo.
Confirming their arrest in a statement on Wednesday, the secret police stated that Donald and Godwin will face prosecution in accordance with the law. The DSS had previously informed the public about these individuals, noting their alleged actions of cloaking under the Service to commit fraud.
In a proactive move to prevent further victimization of citizens, the DSS has also resolved to publish the names of other personnel who have been dismissed in the past. This measure aims to safeguard the public from potential criminal intent by such individuals. For any requests, enquiries, or complaints, members of the public are encouraged to contact the DSS directly via phone at 09088373515 or through email at [email protected].
