Drake's Rolling Loud Power Play: Rapper Scores 'Max Offer' for Annual Festival Slots

Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif has revealed that festival organizers make a “max offer” worth millions to Drake every year, yet the rapper consistently declines to participate. Cherif shared this insight during a livestream with Adin Ross and DJ Akademiks, addressing fans who questioned why Drake has never headlined the globally recognized Rolling Loud Festival.

Cherif also extended an open invitation to Kanye West, emphasizing his personal admiration and long-standing relationship with the artist. “That’s my guy… I love Ye,” Cherif said, reaffirming that West is welcome to return anytime. Kanye’s history with the festival has been dramatic, including his last-minute cancellation in 2022 and his surprise 2024 performance with Ty Dolla $ign.

Rolling Loud’s rapid international expansion continues as the festival prepares for its debut in Mumbai, India. The event will bring headliners such as Central Cee, Wiz Khalifa, Karan Aujla, and Don Toliver. Co-founders Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif celebrated the milestone in a joint statement, expressing excitement about India’s rising hip-hop culture and their mission to create community through music. Additional festival updates can be found on the Rolling Loud official Instagram.
