Doja Cat to Headline Move Afrika 2026, Amplifying Africa’s Creative Power

Global superstar Doja Cat is set to electrify the 2026 edition of Move Afrika, Global Citizen’s pan-African music tour, with performances in Kigali on March 17 and Pretoria on March 20, bringing energy and cultural impact to the continent’s creative scene.
Move Afrika aims to establish the first-ever pan-African touring circuit, stimulating economic opportunities and empowering young Africans while highlighting the continent’s creative excellence, with Doja Cat emphasizing her pride in supporting Africa’s cultural growth.
Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans praised Doja Cat’s participation, noting Move Afrika’s role in strengthening local creative industries, generating employment, and fostering long-term economic growth through music and culture.
The Rwanda Development Board echoed this, highlighting the tour’s ability to create meaningful jobs for youth and unlock sustainable investment in African communities.
Since its inception, Move Afrika has generated over 2,500 jobs across Kigali and Lagos, with a major focus on local talent, sourcing, and training that includes hands-on experience for youth in event production and essential skills development.
The 2026 tour will expand citizen-led advocacy, promoting health systems, reproductive rights, and resilience, while the Music Economy Development Initiative will release research guiding music policy and financing to drive sustainable growth in Africa’s creative economy.
Move Afrika’s annual series of live events continues to create employment, entrepreneurial opportunities, and skill-building for emerging African talent, setting a benchmark for global touring and local capacity-building.
Tickets for Move Afrika: Kigali are available at moveafrika.org, while presales and general public sales for Move Afrika: Pretoria run via Ticketmaster, with special access for Mastercard holders and fan clubs.
