Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has appealed to political parties, supporters and residents of Osun State to maintain peace before, during and after the forthcoming governorship election.

The singer urged eligible voters to participate freely and without fear, stressing the importance of allowing the democratic process to take its course. He said he was speaking "as one of your own," acknowledging the heightened emotions that often accompany elections.

Davido called on all political actors and stakeholders to reject violence, intimidation, provocation, and the destruction of lives and property. He urged voters to cast their ballots peacefully and insisted that the outcome of the election should reflect the genuine will of the people. According to him, every vote matters and every citizen's choice deserves to be respected.

The award-winning artiste also appealed for calm after the election, regardless of the outcome. He warned that no political ambition is worth the loss of lives or the destruction of communities, emphasising that the future of Osun State should take precedence over partisan interests.
