Breaking: Ella Langley's Oklahoma Concert Abruptly Canceled Due to Security Threat!

Country singer Ella Langley abruptly canceled her scheduled concert at Tulsa, Oklahoma’s BOK Center on Friday night, October 9, citing a “serious security threat.” The announcement, made just hours before showtime via a statement on Langley’s Instagram page shortly before 5 p.m. CT, emphasized the paramount importance of safety for her fans, venue personnel, and the artist herself. The official post stated that “The safety and well-being of everyone involved is our absolute priority, and, after careful consideration, we have determined that the show cannot proceed.”

Langley personally added to the official statement, expressing deep regret for the inconvenience caused to fans who had invested time, travel, money, and planning into attending the show. She affirmed, “This is not a decision that was made lightly. I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else. I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.” The statement also assured ticket refund information would be forthcoming.

Despite the high-profile cancellation, there was no immediate notice on the BOK Center’s official website regarding the concert. A receptionist at the arena declined to provide media comment, and Billboard’s inquiries to a marketing representative for Oakview Group, which operates the venue, and Langley’s own representative received no additional comments. The venue did, however, share the same cancellation post on its social media channels.

The cancellation occurred in the midst of Langley’s ongoing Dandelion Tour, which supports her latest album. Notably, her hit song “Choosin’ Texas” from the album has achieved significant success, breaking records by spending 24 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Following the Tulsa cancellation, Langley’s tour is set to continue with a performance on Saturday night in Lubbock, Texas, at United Supermarkets Arena, before heading to Los Angeles for two shows at the Greek Theater on October 13 and 14.
