Arsenal & PSG Go Head-to-Head for Gibbs-White Transfer!
The global football transfer market is buzzing with activity as major clubs like Arsenal, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham Hotspur are actively scouting for new talents and negotiating deals. Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White and PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are among the high-profile players attracting significant attention from top European sides, setting the stage for a competitive summer window.
Arsenal is reportedly facing stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White. The Gunners are keen on bolstering their attacking options this summer and are eyeing Gibbs-White as a potential target, especially if a deal for Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers proves unfeasible. However, PSG is also tracking the development of the midfielder, who impressively scored 15 goals in the Premier League this past season. Prizing Gibbs-White away from Nottingham Forest will be challenging, as he remains under contract until June 2028. Additionally, Arsenal has made an approach for teenage Paris Saint-Germain defender Emmanuel Mbemba, hoping to secure him on a free transfer. The 18-year-old, who has a new contract offer from PSG, is said to favor a switch to North London, where he would initially be loaned out in Europe before obtaining a work permit for the Premier League.
Real Madrid's transfer ambitions are soaring, with club president Florentino Pérez reportedly a keen admirer of Paris Saint-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgia international has emerged as a potential "Galactico" signing, with Pérez hinting at a willingness to sanction a transfer bid exceeding €150 million. Securing Kvaratskhelia, considered one of Europe's top attacking talents, would likely involve a record-breaking transfer fee for Madrid and could also be contingent on the outcome of the ongoing presidential elections. Furthermore, if Pérez wins the elections and appoints José Mourinho as the next Real Madrid head coach, Mourinho is reportedly eager to sign Bernardo Silva following his departure from Manchester City. Silva, 31, has not yet announced his next career step, with his immediate focus on the upcoming World Cup. Juventus and Atlético Madrid have also expressed interest, while a move to Barcelona seems less probable after their recent €70 million signing of Newcastle United forward Anthony Gordon.
Tottenham Hotspur is embarking on a major recruitment drive under new boss Roberto De Zerbi, aiming to strengthen various positions after narrowly avoiding relegation. Manchester City winger Savinho is among the shortlisted targets for Spurs. The club has already completed the signing of former Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson, 32, and is expected to remain highly active throughout the summer. However, Tottenham has already had an opening offer for Brighton & Hove Albion center-back Jan Paul van Hecke rejected, with Brighton valuing him between £60 million-£70 million. Chelsea and Liverpool have also been linked with an interest in van Hecke. In a potential boost, former Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi is reportedly set to join Tottenham on a free transfer in July.
Manchester City is also active in the market, though not without hurdles. Their opening bid for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson has been rejected. City, who consider the 23-year-old their top summer target, are expected to return with an improved financial package. On the retention front, City winger Jérémy Doku is reportedly close to extending his contract until 2031, signaling a commitment to key players.
Liverpool's transfer plans are taking shape under new boss Andoni Iraola. Winger Federico Chiesa, 28, is keen to discuss his future with Iraola before making any decisions. Meanwhile, the club is not willing to part ways with teenage winger Rio Ngumoha, despite interest from Bayern Munich.
Beyond the major clubs, several other significant transfers and rumors are circulating. Brighton & Hove Albion have already agreed to sign 18-year-old AIK Stockholm winger Zadok Yohanna for a reported fee of £21.5 million. Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been offered to Juventus by an intermediary. Coventry City has submitted a formal bid for Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Karl Rushworth, who spent last season on loan with them and is open to a permanent move. Newcastle United winger Harvey Barnes has emerged as a summer option for Aston Villa, while fellow Magpies goalkeeper Nick Pope is reportedly a target for Leeds United and Ipswich Town. Anthony Martial and his Liga MX club Monterrey have mutually agreed to terminate his contract. In European moves, PEC Zwolle defender Anselmo García MacNulty is on the verge of finalizing a move to German second-division club Magdeburg, and Augsburg is working on a permanent deal to sign Michael Gregoritsch from Brøndby. Lastly, former Southampton and Rangers boss Russell Martin is in advanced talks to join Leicester City as head coach.
