APC, Cityboy Movement Intensify Grassroots Campaign for Tinubu's 2027 Re-election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the newly inaugurated Cityboy Movement have launched fresh grassroots mobilisation efforts aimed at securing President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027.

Speaking at the inauguration of the movement's Lagos chapter, party leaders urged young Nigerians to become more actively involved in politics and governance while promoting the administration's Renewed Hope Agenda.

APC leaders expressed confidence that effective grassroots engagement would play a decisive role in the party's electoral success. The Cityboy Movement described its mission as one focused on informing, empowering and inspiring young Nigerians beyond electoral politics.

Its leaders said the organisation would bridge the gap between government and citizens by communicating policy initiatives and encouraging civic participation at the community level. The movement also unveiled plans to build support structures across polling units, wards and local government areas, with South-West leaders targeting millions of votes for President Tinubu in the next presidential election.

The APC's women wing has also pledged strong support for Tinubu's second-term bid, declaring there is "no vacancy" in the Presidential Villa in 2027. Party officials highlighted government initiatives such as the student loan scheme, infrastructure projects and women's empowerment programmes as reasons for continuity.

The coordinated mobilisation efforts signal the ruling party's early preparations for the 2027 general elections through increased engagement with youth, women and grassroots communities.
