Alison Hammond Reveals Shocking Weight Loss Secret!

TV presenter AlisonHammond has publicly addressed her significant 13 stone weight loss, while fiercely criticizing the judgment surrounding weight loss medication. The Great British Bake Off host clarified that she has "absolutely not" used any jabs for her weight loss journey, but challenged her critics by asking, "Would you rather me die from being obese?" Hammond expressed her strong dislike for the judgmental attitudes towards individuals who opt for medication to manage their weight, particularly the stigma that implies people cannot change their minds about such choices in the future.
The 50-year-old presenter achieved her transformation by engaging in four workouts a week with her personal trainer. However, she advocates for people to have the freedom to explore all available options for maintaining health, as reported by the Mirror. Speaking to Woman's Own magazine, Hammond stated, "I don't like the fact that you have to say, 'Oh, no, I wouldn't have the jab ever'. Maybe next year. Do you know what? I might start jabbing up. What does it matter how people lose weight? Would you rather me die from being obese?"
Hammond emphasized the importance of individuals finding what works best for them, adding, "If you want the jabs, if you wanna go do gastric surgery, do it. Ultimately, we should want people to live longer, so if that is going to help you, by getting smaller, let yourself." She also debunked any notion that her weight loss was driven purely by aesthetic desires. She revealed, "The only reason I've lost weight is because I was at risk of diabetes," highlighting a health-focused motivation for her journey.
Despite her physical change, Hammond stressed that she remains the "same person." She voiced her concern over headlines that suggest she is "showing off her new body," arguing, "No, I'm just walking down the street." She found it troubling that normal actions are now highlighted as significant, asserting, "It's troubling because I'm exactly the same person, bigger or smaller. There's no difference at any time."
Since reaching her 50th birthday in February, the This Morning presenter has shared that she feels "amazing" and "happy within" herself as she continues her journey. She previously disclosed that she weighed 28 stone at her heaviest. Alongside her consistent workouts, Alison has focused on eating in "moderation," rather than completely eliminating specific foods. She shared her approach: "I just try and live healthily and drink lots of water, and the weight loss will come. If I lose one or two stone, it's not going to be obvious to anybody, but I'll feel better in myself." This approach to weight loss, emphasizing moderation, mindful food choices, and controlling portion sizes, is also backed by the NHS.
