Alexander Brothers Scandal Deepens: Accusers Speak Out Amid Lawyers' Denials of Assault Claims

Oren, Alon, and Tal Alexander, brothers renowned as luxury real estate moguls in Miami and New York City, are facing grave accusations of sex trafficking, rape, and sexual assault. Over 60 victims, including a minor, have come forward with allegations dating back to 2009. The brothers have pleaded not guilty to the charges, which federal prosecutors claim involve them working together to repeatedly and violently drug, sexually assault, and rape dozens of victims between 2009 and 2021, often promising luxury experiences in exchange for sex.
The defense attorneys for the Alexander brothers, Edward O’Donnell and Joel Denaro, contend that the claims are fabricated and financially motivated. They highlight that for 10 to 15 years, no accusations were made, and then suddenly, all accusers came forward simultaneously through personal injury lawsuits seeking monetary compensation. O’Donnell stated, “How is it possible for all of these women to come out at the exact same time? Every single one of ’em is suing for money. None of them went to law enforcement. They only went to personal injury lawyers, and that is how law enforcement got involved.” The defense also asserts a lack of physical evidence, noting that none of the accusers they are aware of sought rape kits or went to the hospital, concluding there is “zero evidence whatsoever that the assaults occurred.” O’Donnell further presented emails from a prosecutor to an alleged victim, which provided names of personal injury lawyers involved in civil cases against the brothers, arguing this supports the claim of financially driven lawsuits.
Conversely, those representing the alleged victims and the victims themselves offer reasons for the delayed reporting. Miami Herald reporter Ana Claudia Chacin, who has interviewed several alleged victims, noted the “eerily similar” stories, describing women being drugged or consuming excessive alcohol to a state of incapacitation. Victims like Lindsey Acree and an anonymous woman expressed fear and shame as primary reasons for not coming forward sooner. Carissa Peebles, an attorney for one of the women, stated her client feared the brothers’ status and wealth. Chacin suggested a “domino effect,” where women felt empowered to speak out as others shared their experiences. Some victims, like Maria Suska, internally blamed themselves or feared not being believed. One woman reportedly tried to report her assault to the police but was dismissed because she had willingly consumed what she believed was laced marijuana. An attorney for one of the alleged victims criticized the defense for “name-calling the victims as opportunistic,” arguing that seeking civil remedies is the only alternative for those whose lives have been ruined. The District Attorney’s office clarified that their email responses to direct questions were not referrals but indications of media-named attorneys handling civil lawsuits.
Maria Suska’s account details an alleged assault by Oren Alexander in 2014 after he invited her to dinner at the Versace mansion. She describes a “weird and awkward” vibe at a table with other women before Oren invited her upstairs to a watchtower, where she claims he attacked her. Suska did not file a police report at the time due to fear and self-blame, but eventually did so last year. Her case is outside Florida’s statute of limitations. The defense maintains she is attempting to capitalize on the case, citing her email inquiry to the Miami DA’s office for personal injury lawyer recommendations.
The Alexander brothers are currently held without bail at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. Their trial is scheduled for January 2026. Their legal team describes them as “strong” and “courageous,” with Oren knowing “he didn’t do anything wrong.” They emphasize that the brothers have no choice but to “sit and fight” these accusations, some of which are 8 to 12 years old with no physical evidence. In a related development, a motion was filed by Oren and Alon’s legal team to dismiss a New York lawsuit, presenting flirty messages and nude pictures sent by the woman after her alleged attack, further fueling the contentious legal battle.
