AFCON 2025 Fan Frenzy! CAF Rolls Out Free E-Visas & Digital IDs for Morocco Spectacle

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee have officially announced a groundbreaking initiative offering free electronic visas for international fans traveling to the highly anticipated tournament. This policy aims to enhance the fan experience and facilitate access for citizens from countries that typically require a visa to enter Morocco, reflecting the growing global interest in Africa’s premier football event.
Scheduled to run from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, the competition will see supporters benefit from electronic visas obtained through the official YALLA app, now provided free of charge. CAF highlighted that this strategic move comes amidst a surge in global demand for tickets, underscoring the tournament's increasing popularity and prestige on the international stage.
For seamless entry into Morocco and access to stadiums throughout the competition, fans are required to possess two essential documents: a Fan ID and an e-visa. The Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas. Crucially, supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one integrated process within the YALLA app, significantly streamlining travel arrangements and stadium access. The application process through the YALLA app ensures a faster, easier, and more secure experience for both international visitors and local fans.
To avail this offer, supporters are advised to download the YALLA app from Google Play or the App Store, or visit the official YALLA website. After completing the Fan ID form and, if required, submitting the e-visa request, fans can proceed to purchase match tickets on CAF’s official ticketing platform once their applications are approved.
These new measures are meticulously designed to deliver a seamless and secure fan experience for Africa’s showpiece event, which will be contested across nine stadiums located in six different cities. With Morocco hosting the tournament for the first time in decades – specifically since 1988 – the continent’s biggest football festival returns to North Africa amid high expectations, promising thrilling matches and an unparalleled stage for Africa’s top football stars to shine and make their mark.
