What Liverpool's 20-man squad could look like next season - Wirtz, Kerkez in; Robertson, Jaros out - Liverpool.com

After relatively inactive transfer windows last summer and in January, Liverpool is getting to work on refreshing the squad this summer.
Jeremie Frimpong has already been confirmed as a Reds player, while a club-record — and potentially British-record — fee has been agreed for Germany superstar Florian Wirtz.
The Reds are continuing to work on a deal for Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez, too, after the Hungarian established himself as one of the league's best left-backs last term.
But while much of the focus at the moment, understandably, is on arrivals, there will also be a number of departures: Trent Alexander-Arnold has already gone, while Andy Robertson could join him, and it has felt for some time now as though Darwin Nunez's Liverpool journey is coming to an end. Robertson and Nunez are both wanted by Atletico Madrid.
Third-choice 'keeper Vitezslav Jaros looks set to depart, too, with a medical at Ajax slated for next week ahead of a season-long loan move to the Amsterdam club.
Liverpool signed another new goalkeeper last week, bringing in 20-year-old Armin Pecsi from Puskas Akademia. Pecsi will play for the Under-21s next season and the Reds hope he will benefit from training alongside the likes of Alisson and Giorgi Mamardashvili.
It's clear that when the new season starts, Arne Slot's squad will have a different look to it, so Liverpool.com has had a stab at guessing what the 20-man squad could look like on the opening day of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign...
Slot clearly trusted both Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher this term, but next time around Kelleher will be replaced by Giorgi Mamardashvili following Kelleher's move to Brentford.
Mamardashvili was signed from Valencia last summer before being immediately sent back to the La Liga club for the season, and the Georgian's quality was on show at the Bernabeu recently as he produced a man-of-the-match performance against Real Madrid.
In defense, as previously mentioned, Liverpool has brought in Frimpong, while Kerkez's expected arrival could signal the departure of Robertson after eight years of service on Merseyside.
In the center of defense, Jarell Quansah is being linked with a move away, and while Joe Gomez's Liverpool future is also far from certain, he was above Quansah in the pecking order last season.
Liverpool's midfield is probably the area in the team which requires the least amount of work, with Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones all having enjoyed good seasons. The Reds could do with an alternative option to Gravenberch to call upon when the Dutchman is in need of a rest. Angelo Stiller of VfB Stuttgart has been mentioned as a possible addition.
One might suspect that Wataru Endo would want to leave after a season which saw him used sparingly, but he seemingly wants to stay after an interview he gave last month. Harvey Elliott and Federico Chiesa, though, could both leave.
