"I do believe" - Journalist drops intriguing Chelsea transfer update on possible swap deal | OneFootball
One journalist believes that there could be a swap deal on the cards for Chelsea in the remaining weeks of the transfer window.
Things are a little bit quiet around Chelsea at the moment in all honesty, but there also does appear to be some bits and pieces quietly going on in the back ground as well.
Chelsea have this week made an enquiry to sign defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax, although that appears to be at the early stages of anything happening, if anything even happens there at all.
There is also a chance that Chelsea could ‘pivot back’ to a move to sign striker Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig this window, if they sell Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku in some more intriguing updates this morning.
There is plenty going on, and plenty of time also left in the summer transfer window, so we will have to wait and see what else gets done.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has been speaking on Alex Goldberg’s stream this week and of course, all the chatter was about Chelsea’s transfer plans for the rest of the window.
As relayed on X, Jacobs spoke on a situation that could still happen between Chelsea and Manchester United, with a potential swap deal on the cards.

He says:
“If Manchester United approach Chelsea over Nicolas Jackson or Christopher Nkunku, I do believe Chelsea would bring Alejandro Garnacho up to at least see if there’s value in adding him to the squad.”
This is a transfer link that will just not disappear at the moment, with Chelsea consistently being spoken about as a destination for Alejandro Garnacho this summer.
But so far, nothing has advanced or happened, and I know many Chelsea fans will be hoping it stays that way.
