The journey commenced at an ungodly hour well before sunrise in thick fog, rendering the Point Fermin Lighthouse barely visible. Almost immediately, an early-morning accident closed the Vincent Thomas Bridge, forcing a deviation from the planned route. Further compounding the challenge, the navigation app crashed, leading to initial struggles and a second navigational error on Terminal Island. These early mishaps meant the ZR1 quickly found itself embroiled in the very morning freeway rush the early start was designed to avoid.
