The Real Housewives of Atlanta newcomer Brit Eady has officially left the series.
"I decided to walk away from something that no longer serves me because I choose peace over destroying my mental," Eady wrote in an Instagram post on Monday. "It’s very easy to say what I should have done, when most have not walked a day in my shoes."
Eady's full Instagram post reads as follows:
"As I close this chapter, I want to thank everyone who supported me, my friends, my followers, my amazing team, and everyone who defended my name. I decided to walk away from something that no longer serves me because I choose peace over destroying my mental. It’s very easy to say what I should have done, when most have not walked a day in my shoes. I choose ME, and a lot of ppl can’t say they choose themselves. I still have a lot of healing left to do, but you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick. I don’t owe anyone closure, I only owe myself to do what’s best for me. My journey here is done."
Eady's announcement comes the day after Bravo aired the first segment of season 16's three-episode reunion special, from which Eady was notably absent. In something of an understatement, reunion host and series executive producer Andy Cohen called the season "spicy."

"As you may have noticed, Brit Eady has decided not to join us today," Cohen noted and asked series castmate Kelli Ferrell what she thought of Eady's absence.
"She caused mass destruction," Ferrell answered, "within our friend group. And I think she does what she always does: She plays victim and villain at the same damn time."
Another member of the cast, Drew Sidora, said that she received a text from Eady, revealing that she was filing a lawsuit against Sidora about a blog that spoke of one of the biggest controversies of the season: former castmate Kenya Moore's alleged act of "revenge porn."
"She said I would hear from her lawyers," Sidora said.
Moore was let go from season 16, EW reported in June 2024, because of an incident at the June 6 launch event for her hair spa. The former Miss USA unveiled posters allegedly of Eady performing oral sex. Eady was not at the spa at the time, and the moment was aired in the season's fifth episode, "About Last Night," on April 6, 2025.
Moore told talk-show host Tamron Hall in November 2024 that she wasn't fired from RHOA and that she was still being paid by the show at that time.
"I was never under suspicion for 'revenge porn,'" Moore said, calling it a "false narrative."
"There was a young lady who was new, and she was just poking the bear," Moore told Hall.
"I took matters into my own hands," Moore continued, explaining that she felt producers were treating her like a "Black Karen" when she complained about Eady's alleged hostility. "I'm a shade assassin."

Ultimately, "Hindsight is always 50:50," Moore said. "I believe the photos were distasteful, and I elevated the situation.... I take full accountability for the things that I've done. I am sorry for what I've done. I didn't have to take it that far."
In June 2025, Eady filed a complaint against Bravo Media, NBCUniversal and others (though not Moore), alleging "defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false light, respondeat superior, and sexual harassment and hostile work environment." ("Respondeat superior" is a legal doctrine that may, for example, hold an employer legally responsible for the wrongful actions of an employee.) She seeks $20 million.
