The firefighters of El Salvador fight this afternoon a fire originated in the skirts of the Vulcano of San Salvador, at the height of the ancient Calle Terrapo, Lomas del Castillo, Caserío Las Lajas Poniente.

The fire occurs in a difficult access area, therefore the operations are performed manually, according to the institution. “For the robust and difficult area, the operations are performed with manual tools.”

The firefighters also stressed that there are aerial equipment to fight the flames and contain the propagation of fire.

Previously, in the early hours of this Sunday, the firefighters participated in another fire in the volcano. This was checked after several hours of work.
