Shocking Twist: North West's Debut Tour Canceled Days Before Kick-Off

North West's highly anticipated debut headlining tour, the "Molly x North Kimokawaii" tour, a collaborative venture with rapper Molly Santana, has been abruptly canceled just days before its scheduled launch. The 14-date North American tour was set to commence on Wednesday, August 5, in Dallas, with subsequent stops planned in major cities including Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Phoenix, and San Francisco, before concluding on August 27 in Los Angeles.

The tour was intended to support the 13-year-old West’s debut EP, "NOrth4evr," which she released in May and self-produced. The announcement of the tour had been made on June 16. However, at press time, spokespeople for both artists had not officially responded to confirmation requests regarding the cancellation from Billboard.

Evidence of the cancellation quickly emerged across various platforms. The official website for the scotched outing now displays a “404 – Page Not Found” message. Furthermore, the page for the opening show at the House of Blues in Dallas on Ticketmaster was marked as “cancelled” and was no longer listed on the HOB page. The August 17 gig in Toronto was also listed as called off on Ticketmaster, and the AXS listing for the final performance at the Novo in Los Angeles had been erased. Nearly all other show listings, with the exception of an August 25 stop at the Midway in San Francisco, either indicated cancellation or were removed entirely.

Both artists confirmed the tour's cancellation and offered apologies to their fans via Instagram Stories. North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, wrote, “I was really excited to go on tour [with] Molly Santana, sadly it isn’t happening anymore, but I have something special for you guys, see you soon.” Molly Santana also expressed her remorse, stating, “To everyone who bought tickets to the tour, I sincerely apologize. I know a lot of you have taken time out of your busy schedules and spent your hard-earned money planning to be there. Nothing makes me more happy than the opportunity to share more amazing memories with you all, and I hope to see you soon. You are all so greatly appreciated and please know that I never take your time or support lightly. I love you so much & I promise I will make this up to you.”

Molly Santana has seen significant success this year after her appearance on the Drake and Future track “Ran to Atlanta,” which climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, further highlighting the anticipation surrounding this now-canceled co-headlining tour.
