Rosalía, the celebrated Spanish singer-songwriter, is slated to receive the esteemed Woman of the Year award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Women in Music ceremony, as jointly announced by Billboard and Telemundo on April 20. This significant honor recognizes her unparalleled success, formidable leadership, and profound cultural influence, solidifying her status as a defining voice of her generation within the global music landscape.

A press statement accompanying the announcement highlighted Rosalía's consistent efforts to push the boundaries of Spanish-language music. She masterfully blends tradition with bold innovation, a characteristic that has captivated audiences worldwide. Her latest musical offering, the album titled [LUX], further cements her position as a major cultural force, generating extensive global conversation and reinforcing her reputation as an exceptionally forward-thinking creative leader.

Rosalía's impressive career is also marked by substantial chart success. Known for chart-topping hits such as “Con Altura,” “Despechá,” “Yo x Ti, Tú x Mi,” and “La Fama,” she has amassed an impressive record on Billboard charts. Other notable recipients include Becky G, who will be presented with the Global Impact Award; Gloria Trevi, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award; Ivy Queen, recognized with the Pioneer Award; Joy, honored with the Spirit of Change Award; Julieta Venegas, awarded the Artistic Excellence Award; Lola Indigo, earning the Evolution Award; and Young Miko, who will receive the Unstoppable Award.

The celebratory evening is set to feature a variety of memorable performances, heartfelt tributes, and inspiring speeches.
