Rosalía Crowned Billboard Latin Woman of the Year 2026!

Rosalía, the celebrated Spanish singer-songwriter, is slated to receive the esteemed Woman of the Year award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Women in Music ceremony, as jointly announced by Billboard and Telemundo on April 20. This significant honor recognizes her unparalleled success, formidable leadership, and profound cultural influence, solidifying her status as a defining voice of her generation within the global music landscape.
A press statement accompanying the announcement highlighted Rosalía's consistent efforts to push the boundaries of Spanish-language music. She masterfully blends tradition with bold innovation, a characteristic that has captivated audiences worldwide. Her latest musical offering, the album titled [LUX], further cements her position as a major cultural force, generating extensive global conversation and reinforcing her reputation as an exceptionally forward-thinking creative leader.
Rosalía's impressive career is also marked by substantial chart success. Known for chart-topping hits such as “Con Altura,” “Despechá,” “Yo x Ti, Tú x Mi,” and “La Fama,” she has amassed an impressive record on Billboard charts. Her achievements include securing seven No. 1 positions on the Latin Airplay chart, earning nine top 10 placements on Hot Latin Songs, and achieving nine distinct titles on the highly competitive Billboard Hot 100.
Her most recent album, LUX, which debuted in November of last year, showcased remarkable chart performance. It simultaneously claimed the No. 1 spot across five distinct Billboard charts: Top Latin Albums, Top Latin Pop Albums, Classical Albums, Classical Crossover, and World Albums. Furthermore, LUX made a significant impact on the overall Billboard 200 chart, reaching No. 4, which marked Rosalía's first top 10 entry on this comprehensive album ranking.
Rosalía will join a distinguished roster of honorees at this year’s Latin Women in Music event. Other notable recipients include Becky G, who will be presented with the Global Impact Award; Gloria Trevi, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award; Ivy Queen, recognized with the Pioneer Award; Joy, honored with the Spirit of Change Award; Julieta Venegas, awarded the Artistic Excellence Award; Lola Indigo, earning the Evolution Award; and Young Miko, who will receive the Unstoppable Award.
The celebratory evening is set to feature a variety of memorable performances, heartfelt tributes, and inspiring speeches. A stellar lineup of presenters will contribute to the event, including Carlota Vizmanos, David Bisbal, Feid, Jessica Carrillo, Justina Machado, Natalia Lafourcade, Natti Natasha, and Villano Antillano. The entire two-hour special, dedicated to celebrating the Latin artists who are shaping the future of music, will be hosted by Chiquis.
