Rising star Harcher releases music video for hit single 'Stamina'
Nigerian Afrobeat newcomer Abdul Rahman Yusuf, known professionally as Harcher, has released the official music video for his single ‘Stamina’, a standout track from his debut extended play (EP), ‘The Great Arrival’.
The music video, directed by ID Direction, premiered on Tuesday, 15 July 2025, across multiple television platforms in Nigeria and abroad. It comes as the latest release from Bullion Records, the independent label backing the artist’s emergence on the music scene.
Produced by Yeba and mixed and mastered by ARIS, ‘Stamina’ has gained significant airplay across radio stations within Nigeria and among diaspora audiences, owing to its upbeat rhythm and street-hop influences. The new video seeks to visually complement the track’s themes of resilience and energy.
Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos, Bullion Records’ Chief Executive Officer, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, said the video represents another step in promoting Nigerian music talent globally. According to him, the project reinforces the label’s commitment to nurturing new voices in the industry.
“We are proud to present the video for ‘Stamina’, which builds on the positive reception of Harcher’s previous releases like ‘Jo Si’ and ‘Peace’,” said Ajadi.
The artist himself, who hails from Ikeja, Lagos, expressed excitement about the release. “This video brings the song to life in a way I couldn’t have imagined,” said the 20-year-old, who added that the track reflects his determination since starting out in music.
‘The Great Arrival’ EP, released earlier this year, features six tracks plus a bonus song, with influences ranging from Afrobeat to street-hop. The EP has already produced fan favourites that continue to gain traction on the airwaves.
Industry analysts suggest that the release of the ‘Stamina’ video could boost Harcher’s profile further in 2025, as both the production quality and danceable rhythms align with current trends in Nigerian pop music.
While still early in his career, Harcher’s trajectory reflects the growing number of independent artists leveraging digital platforms and visual content to reach wider audiences beyond Nigeria.
