Uba Sani had, on April 22, revoked the sale of all institutional houses and land allocations within legacy schools in the state.

Affected institutions include Queen Amina College, Kaduna; Alhuda-Huda College, Zaria; and Government Commercial College, Zaria.

In a letter dated May 6 and signed by the association’s assistant secretary Rahila Ogiji, the old students described the governor’s intervention as timely.

The alumni body described it as a testament to his administration’s commitment to preserving educational infrastructure in the state.

“We write to convey our heartfelt appreciation to Your Excellency for your prompt and decisive intervention in revoking the sales of Queen Amina College Staff Quarters and other plots of land within our esteemed alma mater,” the letter read.

“By protecting the integrity of school properties, you have reaffirmed the priority your administration places on creating a safe, secure and conducive environment for both teaching and learning.”

The association said the decision not only safeguards the legacy of one of Kaduna’s foremost girls’ institutions but also reinforces the administration’s focus on human capital development through education.

It added that the move sends a strong message about the importance of educational spaces in shaping future generations and advancing society.
