Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun, the General Overseer of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, has consistently reaffirmed his prophetic vision that Kennedy Agyapong is destined to become the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2028 general elections. This recurring prophecy has been a significant point of discussion, initially highlighted in a Facebook post on May 3, 2025. In that spiritual experience, Prophet Elbernard reportedly witnessed internal party deliberations expressing doubts about Agyapong's leadership capabilities. However, the vision unveiled a powerful groundswell of support from the youth rallying behind Agyapong, which ultimately culminated in a nationwide movement that persuaded party elites to endorse him as the flagbearer.

The prophet further reiterated his conviction in a video that surfaced online on June 29, 2025, stressing that Agyapong’s prophecy would indeed materialize, just as he had previously declared. Despite facing derogatory remarks and criticism from various segments of the public following his pronouncements, Prophet Elbernard remains unfazed. He publicly stated, "I'm telling you again that the Lord told me Kennedy Agyapong will become the flagbearer of NPP after their primaries. Do you know the treatment I received during the 2024 election? Ask them whether I ran. They brought their gang; ask them whether I ran. I showed them where I am; they should try. And you're looking insulted. So, some of you, I don't know what you're serving." He firmly asserted that, with the God he serves, no one can intimidate him with threats or falsehoods into silence regarding divine prophecies. "I serve God, and my name is Bernard. The only thing you can choose to do is lie against me. What lies can you tell? You say I'm not from God because you're unsure of your own origin," he added, underscoring his unwavering faith.

Kennedy Agyapong, a well-known politician and businessman, served as the Member of Parliament for Assin Central until January 2025. He is expected to vie for the NPP flagbearer position in the upcoming primaries, which the New Patriotic Party has scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026. Agyapong will be contesting against notable figures such as former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Agriculture Minister Dr. Bryan Acheampong, and former Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, among others.
