Proflight Zambia Unveils Major Domestic Network Expansion

Proflight Zambia, recognized as the nation's leading domestic airline, is poised to significantly bolster regional air travel with the introduction of new direct flights to pivotal destinations including Mansa, Ndola, and Solwezi. These expanded services are scheduled to commence in early March 2026, strategically designed to meet the growing travel demands within Zambia and to foster more efficient and seamless connections to key business and leisure hubs across the country.
The first of these new services will launch on March 2, 2026, with Proflight inaugurating a direct route between Lusaka and Mansa. This service will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, providing consistent access to the Luapula Province. Flight P0402 is slated to depart Lusaka at 07:50, arriving in Mansa by 09:05. The return journey, flight P0403, will then depart Mansa at 09:40, ensuring passengers are back in Lusaka by 10:55, offering convenient morning travel options.
In conjunction with the new Mansa flights, Proflight Zambia will maintain its established and essential Lusaka-Ndola route on the same operating days. Flights P0304 will depart from Lusaka to Ndola at 11:30, and P0305 will complete the return trip from Ndola to Lusaka, departing at 12:45. This continued service ensures robust connections between the capital and the Copperbelt region, complementing the broader network enhancements.
Further enhancing its network, Proflight will also introduce a new Friday-only flight from Solwezi to Lusaka, commencing on March 5, 2026. This service, flight P0901, will depart Solwezi at an early 06:25 and arrive in Lusaka at 07:20. This particular flight is strategically timed to offer rapid transit for passengers originating from the Copperbelt and Northwestern provinces. Crucially, it provides a convenient onward connection to flight P020 from Lusaka to Johannesburg, which departs at 08:15, thereby facilitating smooth international transfers for travelers.
This comprehensive network expansion underscores Proflight’s unwavering commitment to improving air travel accessibility throughout Zambia. By offering increased flexibility and highly efficient travel options, the airline aims to significantly support both domestic business activities and the burgeoning tourism sector. The strategic scheduling is tailored to serve passengers navigating Zambia’s vital urban and mining centers, cementing Proflight's role in the nation's infrastructural development.
For the wider African travel industry, Proflight’s new routes highlight the critical importance of reinforcing intra-regional air links. Such improvements are instrumental in fostering economic development and diversifying tourism offerings across the continent. Enhanced domestic connectivity is key to unlocking Zambia’s full potential as a pivotal gateway destination within the Southern African region. Travel professionals across sub-Saharan Africa are encouraged to leverage these new flight opportunities, optimizing itinerary planning and capitalizing on the growing demand for regional travel within Zambia, as Proflight continues to solidify its position as a reliable and convenient partner in Africa’s dynamic aviation landscape.
