Arriva Polski Cukier Torun (OBL) signed 38-year-old ex-international 205cm power forward Damian Kulig for the upcoming season. It marks his return to Twarde Pierniki, where he previously played. Kulig spent the last four years at Stal in the OBL, averaging 13.9ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.6apg, and 1.0spg in 22 games last season.
He was also a member of the Polish international program for some years. Kulig played for Polish Senior National Team between 2006 and 2021 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2007.
He has played also in Turkey (Trabzonspor, Bandirma, and Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi), Poland (KKS Basket, PGE Turow, Kociewskie Diably, and Piotrkow), and Turkey.
Among many awards, he won the European North Basketball League championship title in 2023. Kulig was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Basketball Champions League Honorable Mention back in 2017. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Arriva P.Cukier.
