(FOX40.COM) — A fight between two people escalated to a shooting in Sacramento County on Saturday afternoon.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened on the 320 block of Jubilee Way in Rio Linda at around 1:30 p.m. after a physical altercation broke out between two men.

Officials said the victim is now in critical condition and is being treated at a local hospital.

SCSO stated that the shooter is now with deputies as they investigate what caused the shooting.
