North Little Rock shares Monday update on storm recovery efforts

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Many living in North Little Rock were hit hard by severe storms that slammed the Natural State over the past several days.
City officials said NLR Electric has restored power to more than 13,750 residents since noon on Saturday but noted there are still 225 residents without power.

Officials said flooded areas of the city should begin to see relief as the Arkansas River crested at noon on Monday.
NLR officials ask residents to place debris at their curbs as crews work to remove debris across the city. Tree limbs should be 10 feet or less.
Officials said that any residents who lost power and have spoiled food can drop it off at 13th and Sycamore Streets.
Finally, NLR officials ask drivers to avoid traveling on North Hills Boulevard south of Interstate 40 as it has been closed due to flooding.
