Phan Huy Unveils Fall-Winter 2025 Collection at Paris Couture Week

Vietnamese luxury fashion house Phan Huy is set to make a significant international debut at Paris Haute Couture Week, officially presenting its Fall-Winter 2025/2026 collection on July 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM. This momentous event will take place at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris—France’s largest center for contemporary art. This show represents a pivotal milestone for designer Phan Huy and the brand, signifying its evolution from a prominent Vietnamese label to one that embraces global couture standards, while authentically bringing Vietnam's cultural essence to the heart of the fashion capital.

Designer Phan Huy, a graduate of Ho Chi Minh University of Architecture and a native of Quảng Trị, Central Vietnam, expressed the profound personal importance of this collection, stating, “This show is one of the most important moments of my career. Each look in this collection tells a story—a familiar image drawn from the everyday life of Vietnamese people. We began conceptualizing it eight months ago, and every detail has been prepared with utmost care and passion.” His brand’s aesthetic is characterized by Glamorous and Romantic silhouettes, with a particular strength in dramatic eveningwear, intricate embellishments, and ethereal, light materials such as chiffon, organza, tulle, and silk. The color palette frequently includes tones of beige, rose gold, silver, black, and pure white, reflecting a sophisticated yet heartfelt approach.

The Fall-Winter 2025/2026 collection, titled “A Vietnamese Countryside Portrait in the Heart of the Fashion Capital,” transports audiences on a serene and joyful journey through the familiar landscapes of the Vietnamese countryside. It evokes vivid sensory experiences: the warmth of cracked soil, sunlit thatched roofs, rustling bamboo, winding rivers, and the laughter of children. This collection aims to create a peaceful yet vibrant world, not through nostalgia or melancholy, but with a quiet smile, reminiscent of the subtle scent of straw smoke or the whisper of wind through backyard trees.

Phan Huy emphasized his intention to honor “the little things—the beautiful, everyday memories that shaped us,” drawing from the collective memory of generations across Vietnam's North, Central, and South regions. Over eight months, he meticulously gathered scattered memories, grandmother’s stories, old photographs, and folk rhymes, transforming them into luxurious, emotional, and heartfelt designs.

Comprising 36 designs, each look in the collection is inspired by a specific symbol of rural Vietnamese life. Highlights include paper fans delicately placed on the chest, waist, and hips; conical hats (Nón lá) reimagined with intricate cord-knotting and crystal accents; designs mimicking fishing nets and boats, paying homage to riverside communities; and elements evoking banana leaves, straw bundles, and charcoal stoves, which capture the textures, scents, and moods of rustic daily life.

Additionally, the collection celebrates cultural fusion with interpretations of the Nhat Binh Robe, Ao Dai, and traditional headdresses, symbolizing heritage and integration. Every detail, from form construction to fabric treatment, is rich in cultural significance, evoking not just visuals but also sounds, textures, scents, and memories.

Phan Huy continues to refine his signature technique of color-shifting elastic mesh, which creates elegant light effects and graceful motion. New techniques introduced in this collection include 3D layering and sculptural draping to replicate natural forms like tree trunks, straw stacks, rocky hollows, and drifting kites, transforming nature into wearable art. Traditional weaving, inspired by Vietnamese basketry, lanterns, and fishing tools, is translated into fabric textures and hand-sculpted volumes.

The collection also features meticulous hand embroidery and embellishment using crystals, beads, semi-precious stones, and metallic threads, all handcrafted with high precision to reflect sunlight, water, and natural textures. The color palette draws from local neutral tones: chicken-fat yellow, clay brown, brick red, ash gray, lime white, beige, and silver, evoking a rustic charm, the soft light of the countryside, and raw natural beauty.

The choice of the Palais de Tokyo as the venue underscores the collection's themes. As a hub of contemporary European art and a preferred location for renowned designers, its vast 22,000m² space of exposed concrete provides a powerful visual dialogue between tradition and modernity, nostalgia and reality, and the realms of fashion and art, perfectly complementing Phan Huy's artistic vision.
