Overthrow Hospitality's Soda Club Moves to Bigger Location
The East Village favorite expands with a fresh menu, full cocktail bar, and late-night vibes.
The team behind Overthrow Hospitality just raised the bar for plant-based dining and cocktails! James Beard Award-nominated restaurateur Ravi DeRossi, along with partners Drew Brady and Sother Teague, introduces the new Soda Club—a vibrant blend of their celebrated pasta and wine bar and the iconic Amor y Amargo cocktail concept.

Now located at 95 Avenue A, the reimagined Soda Club brings a fresh energy to Manhattan’s East Village. Executive Chef Pedro Allende leads the kitchen with an inspired menu featuring fresh pastas and Roman-style "pinsas" (pizzas).
The menu will still highlight a changing lineup of salads, appetizers, and freshly made pastas such as Cappelletti with morel mushrooms, veggie brodo, and truffle olive oil; Stuffed Pappardelle with potatoes, mint, parmesan cheese, yellow tomato sauce, black olive oil, chives, and toasted almonds; and Porcini Bolognese with crispy artichoke hearts and lemon zest. New must-tries? Cloud-like pinsas with a variety of toppings such as figs, onion jam, smoked mushrooms, pistachios, and more.
Drawing from Brady’s Sicilian roots, the food captures the cozy spirit of home cooking while celebrating bold, plant-based innovation. “It was always our intention to create an unpretentious wine bar; to offer something that is elevated, but inviting and accessible,” said Brady. “This restaurant is especially meaningful to me as it pays homage to my grandmother’s Palermo roots.”

The beverage game at Soda Club is equally impressive. Partner and wine director Drew Brady curates over 200 natural and organic wines, including the newly launched Alphabet Soop—a chilled red blend created by Overthrow Hospitality. Meanwhile, cocktail legend Teague and his team infuse fresh excitement into the drinks menu. Expect cocktails like the "You’ve Come a Long Way" (amaro-grappa sour), the "Avenue Arthur" (Black Manhattan), and indulgent sips like the "Cavalletta" (plant-based take on a Grasshopper).
DeRossi said, "We're thrilled to bring together two beloved concepts—Amor y Amargo and Soda Club—under one roof, and to offer the same incredible wine and food, in addition to an exceptional cocktail program by a true visionary in the cocktail world. We can't wait to share the new Soda Club with our guests.”

After dinner, Soda Club transforms into a lively nightlife spot, serving cocktails, wine, and late-night bites like fried gnocchi and arancini until the early hours. Guests can also enjoy midnight happy hours, weekly events like “Pasta School Sundays,” and the ever-popular Chef’s Pasta Tasting.
Soda Club is open weekdays from 5pm to 12am and Fridays and Saturdays until 2am. Reservations are available on Resy. For more information, visit SodaClubNYC.com or follow @sodaclubnyc on Instagram.
