The Osun State Government and 2 AG Nigeria Limited have collaborated to launch a raffle draw lottery game across the state, aiming to empower citizens financially.

According to the firm, no fewer than four people are expected to become millionaires every month through the gaming concept.

Addressing a press conference in the hall of the Osun State Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment, Osun State Secretariat, Osogbo, on Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Ladi Adebayo, said the raffle draw tagged “Imole Millionaire Draw” falls under the brand name Osun Mega Draw, and that it would be officially launched in September this year.

Adebayo, while speaking at the media briefing attended by government officials led by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Rafiu Oyelowo, stated that his firm is collaborating with the state government and that Governor Ademola Adeleke has granted its licence to commence the raffle draw.

He said the digitalised gaming concept is a way of tackling poverty in the state, improving the Internally Generated Revenue of the state government, and that Osun would benefit from it.

Adebayo, who said he is a legal practitioner abroad but an indigene of the state, explained that the firm’s headquarters is in Ilesa and that residents of the state would purchase a N500 ticket each to have a chance of winning N1 million every week as the overall winner, along with other cash prizes ranging from N500,000 to N50,000.

He added that the draw, which would be televised live, would produce four millionaires every month, among other winners.
