Selena Gomez has over 418 million Instagram followers — so there’s a good chance you’re one of them and have seen her recent Story, in which she was glamming herself up with bestselling Rare Beauty makeup products. Aside from being impressed by her rosy complexion and perfect pout (courtesy of the Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss), we couldn’t help but notice Gomez’s coquettish and dainty camisole. Our shopping editors identified it as Aritzia’s HomeStretch Rib Lace V-Neck Cami Tank in the shade Villa Pink: one she also wore this past May while getting her makeup done. And though the $25 gem has since sold out, not all hope is lost when it comes to channeling the star’s summertime femininity via similar camisoles found online.

The best camisoles come in to save the day during periods of intense heat in the summer — seamlessly pairing with Bermuda shorts, linen pants, and midi skirts while serving as a carte blanche of sorts for this season’s trending accessories like pendant necklaces. By nature, camisoles are soft and light, being sleepwear-inspired in many cases. Materials vary from cotton and polyester to silk and spandex, but no matter what it’s made of, a camisole you wear all summer long grants the kind of lightweight feel, easy stretch, and moisture-wicking properties that are found in your favorite athleisure.

In the early days (we’re talking the era of ancient Greek and Roman civilizations), camis were strictly made for wearing underneath garb that provided more coverage, but the early 2000s helped these wardrobe staples see the light of day — as starlets from Paris Hilton to Jessica Biel started showing off camisole-powered outfits on red carpets. Everyone soon started matching them to low-rise jeans and other bottoms, while playing around with camis’ textures, hues, and adornments. Today, camis are styled up or down by the likes of Emily Ratajkowski, Jennifer Lopez, Kendall Jenner, and Ciara. Amidst the sheer dressing trend during awards shows, lace camisoles specifically make many appearances on celebrities: contrasted against wide-leg trousers, oversized leather jackets, and more.

Gomez — who has been at the top of her fashion game lately with outfit formulations that included button-clad leather trench coats, black gowns with statement-making shoulders, and sharp blazers — treated the Aritzia cami as an essential part of her getting-ready ‘fit, making sure she was comfortable and never overheated while applying her own beauty brand’s brow and lip products (not to mention granting followers another look at her glittering engagement ring!). The top features a V-neck with scalloped detailing, a satin bow at center, and a ribbed, cotton-blend fabric that provides body-hugging stretch without sheerness. While we can’t say with certainty what Gomez was wearing below the cami, its cropped style allows for some proportion play through baggy jeans or bubble skirts.

Because you can’t snag the exact version of this Selena Gomez–approved, versatile camisole, here are six alternatives that match its hue, silhouette, fabrication, and/or overall vibe (best described as “cottagecore summer,” which was named a carry-over trend in this year’s summer report from Pinterest). Plus, we’ll make your life even easier by offering inspiration on how to wear your newly purchased camisoles to instantly upgrade all warm-weather ensembles. Even better, you don’t have to put them towards the back of your closet once fall comes around, as each of these camis works perfectly when layered under coats, sweaters, and similar essentials for transitional dressing.

In the thick of the not-to-miss Nordstrom Anniversary Sale deals on trending fashions, this camisole stands out from the crowd based on its high-quality details alone (like the two bows dotting the spaghetti straps, a lettuce edge, and an embroidered trim). Adjustable straps help keep the fit tailored to you, and we recommend styling with a slip skirt in a similar material, a mini designer handbag, and huggie earrings that will show to the world just how pretty-and-preppy your personal aesthetic is.

Just like Gomez’s camisole, this bestselling Reformation top has a central bow and a flattering cut, but that lace trimming adds even more coquettishness to the mix. Note that, unlike other camisoles, the Kian Knit Top has more coverage on the back — offering sun protection in the summer and acting as an extra layer of insulation come winter.

It’s no secret that in order to grab the most buzzy selections at Skims, you have to have quick reflexes — especially once the Skims Bi-Annual Sale rolls around. Indeed, it seems like Skims’ camisole inventory is running very low, with this top-selling item being a miraculous exception. Dreamy and pleasing to look at, it’s made of cotton and polyester, has a ribbed texture that won’t pester your torso, and features a neckline that’s more curvilinear than that of Gomez’s Aritzia cami. We love all that lace and the slightly peachy colorway called Villa.

Crafted out of Lululemon’s premium Nulu fabric (which has four-way stretch, feels like butter, is injected with Lycra for shape retention, and whisks away sweat), this tank top-slash-cami is meant to be worn at the Pilates studio and whatever setting you find yourself in afterwards. Unlike a simple cotton cami, it actually offers light support for your bust with a built-in shelf bra, has removable cups, and balances all this functionality with a look that’s attractive as can be (we see you, keyhole cutout!). Become the best-dressed person using the reformer machines, stat.

Revolve’s newly-released Butter Sleep Tank by the cult-favorite lifestyle brand Dairy Boy might be intended for catching some zzzs in style based on its name, but stepping out in it for bottomless brunches or casual strolls in the park is also a great idea. With its subtly ridged trim, bust-flattering bow accent, lightweight jersey fabric, and hot-right-now butter yellow color, the camisole checks all our boxes and should be worn with Dairy Boy’s Butter Sleep Short for maximum effect.

Though we already included a Lululemon cami in this shopping guide, we couldn’t help but squeeze in one more: seeing as how it’s probably the top match for the one Gomez has worn multiple times this year. Though the Cotton Pointelle Cropped Cami Tank Top’s lavender shade is not the baby pink favored by Gomez, it’s just as gentle and pastel-like — a major fashion trend seen on spring 2025 runways. Designed for casual wear versus sweat sessions, the tank top is made out of a cotton pointelle fabric, has a lightly scalloped trim for added visual interest, and skims your body without feeling constricting. Four-way stretch and breathability are other aspects you’ll appreciate, and the fact that the camisole ends at the waist versus the hips gives you the opportunity to don it with high-waisted denim skirts, leggings, or chinos for work.
