Old Mill announces three new partners
South West financial experts Old Mill have announced three new Partners as part of its commitment to investing in future leaders. From July 1, financial planner Stuart Coombe, audit specialist David Jones and rural accountancy specialist Phil Kirkpatrick will all become Partners, bringing the total number within the firm to 22.
. He joined Old Mill in 2008 as a paraplanner and during his 17 years at the firm, has become chartered and worked his way up to Director.
Talking about his promotion, Stuart said: I joined Old Mill on their reputation for excellence, and a personal desire to learn more and build my career, and it has not let me down. As a progressive company, opportunities have always presented themselves, and with this promotion I am delighted to be recognised and to have the ability to help continue to push Old Mill forwards. I look forward to mentoring the next generation of talented advisers within our wealth management team, as well as continuing to act for my existing clients, whilst working alongside my colleagues in our accountancy, tax and specialist teams.”
. Having gained broad experience as both a financial controller and auditor, David, who is a chartered accountant, says he is “completely elated to have been promoted to the position of Partner at Old Mill”.
Speaking about his future at the firm, he said: “I have a clear vision and commitment to help make Old Mill’s audit offering in the South West truly exceptional, by focusing on risk, quality and the client experience at a time when both regulation and stakeholder demands are evolving. I’m so proud of the audit team we have built up at Old Mill and am looking forward to continuing to deliver with confidence.”
. He says he was instantly drawn to Old Mill due to its rural specialism and support of the farming community.
“From the outset of that journey, I have worked with truly inspirational colleagues and clients within the sector, who have helped shape me into the partner I am today,” said Phil. “I will now continue to champion and support the farming community during what is an increasingly difficult period, while at the same time keeping an eye out for those budding partners of the future!”
Speaking about the three promotions, “This round of partner promotions comes at a time of strategic expansion and innovation at Old Mill and reinforces the firm's commitment to investing in its people. Stuart, David and Phil’s promotions are richly deserved and highlight the breadth of talent we have within Old Mill. Their expertise and leadership will help us expand our reach, deepen our client relationships, and build a sustainable future.”
