Oasis Reunion Hits Snag: Watchdog Threatens Legal Action Over Tickets, Band Line-Up Confirmed

Oasis is set for a long-awaited reunion tour in 2025, with former bassist Andy Bell confirming his involvement. Bell, who played with Oasis from 1999 to 2009 and later in Liam Gallagher's post-Oasis project Beady Eye, is seen as ideally suited to manage the dynamics between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher. In an interview with Austrian newspaper Oe24, Bell stated, “I’m in and I’m really looking forward to it. We’ll see each other on tour. Or rather, you’ll see me. I’ll hardly be able to see you in the audience.” Bell's confirmation follows long-standing rumors of his return to the live lineup.

The reunion tour comprises 41 dates in 2025, commencing at stadiums across the UK and Ireland in July before extending to multiple continents. The band, led by the Gallagher brothers, is scheduled to play sold-out shows at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on August 8, 9, and 12. Tickets for the tour sold out in record time, with over 10 million people from more than 100 countries attempting to secure them. Support acts for the tour include Cast, Richard Ashcroft, Cage The Elephant, and Ball Park Music.

He dismissed earlier social media claims by Liam Gallagher about a new album, stating, “This is very much the last time around, as Noel’s made clear in the press. It’s a chance for fans who haven’t seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to.” McKinlay also detailed the meticulous planning to keep the reunion news under wraps, emphasizing the limited and trusted group involved in the pre-announcement stages, and describing the subsequent public reaction as
