On Tuesday, June 10, the National Police Service (NPS) ordered the immediate arrest of Samidoh over alleged desertion of duty.

NPS accused the singer of being absent from his duty post for 10 days since May 27, 2025, following his redeployment to the Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU) in Gilgil.

However, it has emerged that the Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, authorised Samidoh's private visit to the United States of America.

Hours after NPS declared a warrant of arrest against Samidoh, his leave document leaked to the public.

In the document seen by TUKO.co.ke, IG Kanja approved Samidoh's request to be out of the country from May 20 to June 9.

"Reference is made to your letter Ref: NPS/APS/ADM/1/31/VOL X1/47 dated April 25, 2025, regarding the above subject matter. Travel clearance is hereby granted to the above-named officer to travel to the United States of America for a private visit," the IG said.
"The officer will leave the country on May 20, 2025 and will travel back on June 9, 2025. All travel and accommodation expenses will be met privately," the document read.
