New Family Titles to Watch Over The Weekend of May 16

The weekend is here, which means a fresh batch of movie and TV titles are in the queue. Whether you're piling into the car on your way to the theater or piling onto the couch with your own snacks, there's plenty to watch as a family.

Here's your family watch list for the weekend of May 16.

What's being called one of the greatest pieces of Star Wars entertainment to date is coming to an end this week, with the series finale of Andor. The final three episodes of season 2 are now streaming on Disney+, and if you've been waiting to binge the entire thing, now's your chance.

We covered this one in our full review–but to reiterate, it really is a rich and satisfying watch for SW fans in the family, and others who are just looking for a dramatic spy thriller.

Here's the next entry in what's been a string of nostalgic titles returning to theaters in recent weeks. 1998's Kiki's Deliver Service centers 13-year-old Kiki who happens to be a witch in training.

She and her talking cat, Jiji move to a seaside town where she can develop her powers. Soon, Kiki sets up a courier service where she makes deliveries via flying broomstick. But when begins to lose her magic abilities due to insecurity, she must overcome her self-doubt to get her powers back.

Here are a few titles coming to Netflix this weekend that could be good options to watch with tweens and teens at home.

This Dutch language comedy series revolves around a group of overbearing parents who shamelessly meddle in their children's amateur football (soccer in the U.S.) careers. We are introduced to this world through Lillian and her son Levi, who is new to the team. Lillian quickly realizes she wants to escape from this quirky group of parents, especially from Marenka, who is the last person you want to deal with on a Saturday morning. However, Levi wants to stay and even forms a friendship with Vito, the most eccentric kid of all, who happens to be Marenka's son.

This family comedy hit from 2018 is making its way to Netflix this week. When Pete and Ellie decide adopt a child through foster care, they first hope to take in one small child. But when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15-year-old girl. Now, Pete and Ellie must try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hope of becoming a family.
