Music Bombshell! Wizkid and Asake Team Up for 'Real Vol. 1' Album This December

Afrobeats fans are buzzing with excitement following the announcement of a joint EP, "Real Vol. 1," from superstars Asake, also known as Mr Money or Ololade mi Asake, and Wizkid, affectionately called Big Wiz. The highly anticipated project is set to drop this December, promising a magical collaboration between two of the genre's biggest names.
The news was shared during a recent Apple Music session, where Wizkid, with a grinning Asake by his side, made the special announcement. Wizkid stated, "Special announcement, Mr Money X Big Wiz project. It’s called Real, and it drops this December. For the people, Vol. 1." Asake's nod confirmed the joint venture, which is generating immense anticipation globally.
This collaboration goes beyond just music; it is rooted in a genuine and deep connection between the artists. Asake himself described their bond as "real" and "deep," emphasizing that it has been cultivated through a strong friendship and a history of successful creative endeavors. Their synergy has already been showcased in previous works, notably on the Grammy-nominated track "MMS" from Asake’s critically acclaimed album, "Lungu Boy."
Beyond studio recordings, Asake and Wizkid have also shared major stages, delighting fans with their live chemistry. Most recently, Wizkid made a surprise appearance at Asake’s sold-out Red Bull Symphonic concert held at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre. During this memorable event, Asake performed alongside a 33-piece orchestra and brought out other prominent artists such as Central Cee, Gunna, and Fridayy, further highlighting his dynamic presence and broad appeal.
For long-time followers of both artists, "Real Vol. 1" is poised to be an exemplary fusion of their strong friendship, innovative creativity, and unparalleled Afrobeats brilliance. Fans around the world are eagerly awaiting December for the release of what is expected to be a landmark project in the Afrobeats landscape.
