Montreux Jazz Festival Unleashes Star-Studded 2026 Lineup: RAYE, PinkPantheress & Lewis Capaldi Lead the Charge!

The Montreux Jazz Festival is set to celebrate its milestone 60th edition with a star-studded lineup, scheduled to take place from July 3-18. Returning to the picturesque Lake Geneva shoreline in Switzerland, the festival promises a blockbuster program that blends heritage acts with leading contemporary stars across a wide array of genres, including jazz, rock, R&B, hip-hop, and pop.

Headlining this monumental event are acclaimed artists such as RAYE, PinkPantheress, and Lewis Capaldi. The diverse roster also features rock legends Deep Purple, the Grammy-winning John Legend, and modern pop sensations like Tyla, Conan Gray, and Zara Larsson. Additionally, the festival is committed to showcasing emerging talent, with performances from rising British artists Nectar Woode, Sasha Keable, and Sienna Spiro.

RAYE will inaugurate the festival's proceedings at the Auditorium Stravinski with a bespoke opening night performance, co-created with Audemars Piguet. This marks her third consecutive appearance at Montreux, following the release of her 2024 album "Live at Montreux LP" and her latest work, "This Music May Contain Hope." The festival schedule is also highlighted by unique collaborations: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will share their July 5 bill with Aldous Harding, while The Isley Brothers are slated to perform alongside funk outfit The Roots on July 11. Previous Billboard U.K. cover star Loyle Carner is scheduled to perform with Vulfpeck on July 17.

The Montreux Jazz Lab will host an eclectic array of sets, offering innovative and diverse musical experiences. Highlights include a high-energy Danny L Harle rave and a special Miles Davis tribute featuring jazz luminaries Billy Cobham and Marcus Miller’s We Want Miles! ensemble, celebrating the enduring legacy of the jazz icon.

Founded in 1967 by Claude Nobs, the Montreux Jazz Festival has grown over six decades to attract more than 250,000 attendees annually. What began as a jazz-focused event has evolved into a comprehensive, genre-spanning showcase that has hosted an incredible roster of artists throughout its history, including music titans like Etta James, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Lauryn Hill, Aretha Franklin, David Bowie, Kendrick Lamar, and Marvin Gaye. The festival’s recent history also includes performances from Chaka Khan, Neil Young, Jamie xx, FKA Twigs, and Noah Kahan at its 2025 edition, demonstrating its continuous appeal to diverse audiences.
