Senior Principal Magistrate Mathias Okuche ruled that Komando unlawfully and willingly clung to the helicopter during the wedding of famous Ohangla musician Evance Ochieng, better known as Prince Indah, in Rapogi on April 13 at around 5pm.
"With enough evidence presented to this court against the accused Stephen Odhiambo, this court has found you guilty of the offence," the magistrate stated.
"I hereby impose a fine of KSh 500,000 cash bail or 18 months in prison on Steven Odhiambo," Okuche ruled.
The suspect was charged with endangering the safety and security of an aircraft and its passengers through disorderly conduct, under Section 46(1)(a) of the Civil Aviation Act, Cap 394.
He was arrested by police on April 15 and arraigned in court on April 23, where he pleaded guilty to the offence.
While Prince Indah's traditional celebration was full of excitement, with celebrities arriving in luxury SUVs and fashionable outfits blending modern and cultural styles, it was YouTuber Oga Obinna’s entrance by helicopter that stole the show.

However, the real shock came when the helicopter, carrying the artist, took off. Komando stunned onlookers by clinging to the aircraft's landing gear as it ascended.
A video shared online showed the man hanging on as the chopper flew upwards, alarming those present.
Fortunately, the pilot quickly responded, making an emergency landing at a nearby farm to offload the man, who was then assisted by locals.
The incident sparked outrage across social media, with many condemning the reckless stunt as dangerous.
Calls for Komando's arrest flooded in, with people highlighting the risk to both his life and the safety of those aboard the helicopter.
Komando a father of two and bicycle repairman at Rapogi Market, stated that he had first asked the helicopter occupants for money.
After being turned down, he requested a ride, and when that was also refused, he clung to the aircraft's landing gear in a desperate attempt to get a free lift.
Oga Obinna came to the defence of Migori Komando following his arrest.
Obinna acknowledged that Komando may have endangered his life and those of other guests, but noted no one was harmed and questioned who had pressed charges.
He urged forgiveness, saying it was Komando’s first offence and that he had learnt his lesson. Obinna added that he would reach out to Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko to explore ways of offering support.
