Jordan’s Outlier Society producing the project. The decision comes as Prime Video seeks to fill a fantasy-shaped gap in its programming lineup.

The creative team bringing “Fourth Wing” to the screen includes Meredith Averill, who will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Lisa Joy is set to direct the first episode and also executive produce. Author Rebecca Yarros will be involved as an executive producer, alongside Michael B. Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo. The series will follow Violet Sorrengail, a young woman who initially expected a life dedicated to books as a scribe. Violet, being smaller and physically more fragile than many of her peers, becomes an immediate target in a world where weakness can be fatal. Her challenges are further compounded by the antagonistic presence of Xaden Riorson, a key figure at the college.
