Metal Legends Unite: Iron Maiden Announces Epic North American Tour with Megadeth & Anthrax

Iron Maiden has officially announced the North American leg of their highly anticipated Run For Your Lives World Tour, set to kick off on August 29, 2026, at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena. This extensive tour will see the iconic heavy metal band traverse through a series of massive arenas across North America throughout September, including prominent venues like Boston’s TD Garden, Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium, and an appearance at Louisville’s Louder Than Life Festival.
Adding to the excitement, Iron Maiden will be joined by fellow metal legends Megadeth for all dates, while Anthrax will accompany them on select bigger shows. Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are greatly looking forward to bringing this Run For Your Lives World Tour to North America and hope the fans enjoy seeing the show and hearing the set list as much as we do playing it.” He highlighted the “added bonus” of having friends on tour, noting that Megadeth will be performing on what is announced as their last ever tour, and recalling a positive past experience touring with Anthrax on Ed Force One in 2016.
Lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson shared his personal enjoyment of the tour, saying, “This whole tour has been such great fun. I really enjoy belting out all these great old songs, and the whole band are loving playing them too!” He confirmed a setlist packed with early period classics, including “Hallowed,” “Run To The Hills,” “Trooper,” “Number Of The Beast,” “Killers,” “Powerslave,” and “2 Minutes To Midnight.” Dickinson also revealed that some of these tracks haven't been played in the U.S. for over two decades, alongside epic pieces such as his personal favorite, “Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” and “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.” He humorously referred to the tour as a “50th birthday party.”
The upcoming Run For Your Lives World Tour marks Iron Maiden’s first performances since concluding their The Future Past Tour in São Paulo, Brazil, last December. This new tour also signifies a significant change in the band’s lineup, as it will feature the debut of drummer Simon Dawson. Long-time drummer Nicko McBrain announced his decision to step back from the demanding lifestyle of extensive touring after The Future Past Tour, making way for Dawson to join the band on this new venture.
