Maresca's Chelsea Faces Backlash After Newcastle Draw as Howe Demands Penalty

Chelsea completed a remarkable second-half comeback to secure a 2-2 draw at St James' Park against Newcastle United, after the home side had dominated the first half to establish a 2-0 lead. The thrilling Premier League encounter saw Chelsea display incredible resilience, transforming their performance after a dismal opening 45 minutes.
Newcastle, inspired by England's Anthony Gordon and eager to atone for their recent Tyne-Wear derby defeat to Sunderland, began the game at an unrelenting pace that Chelsea simply could not match. Striker Nick Woltemade, who had scored an own goal in the derby, quickly erased that memory by opening the scoring just four minutes in. He then doubled Newcastle's lead on 20 minutes with a neat finish from a Gordon cross, leaving Chelsea shell-shocked and their UEFA Champions League aspirations seemingly stalled.
