Mac Miller's iconic album, The Divine Feminine, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special edition release that includes a three-pack of new songs. The anniversary edition, which became available on Friday, October 2, features the previously unreleased single "Butterflies," which had its debut in September. Additionally, two more tracks, "Grand" and "Channel 13," were made available on streaming services for the first time as part of this celebratory release.
In conjunction with the music release, Mac Miller's family is also honoring the LP's milestone with "The Divine Feminine Live." This live special draws inspiration from the original 2016 TV series, which was exclusively broadcast on DirecTV. Fans will have the opportunity to stream "TDF Live" on Mac Miller's official YouTube channel, starting at 10 p.m. ET on Friday night. The production team for this special includes Sam Balaban, who is responsible for producing, directing, and editing, while Bart Peters serves as the original live performance director. Contributions from E. Dan and Justin Boyd are also integral to the project.
The Divine Feminine initially launched in September 2016 and achieved significant commercial success, debuting at an impressive No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. It amassed 48,000 total album-equivalent units in its first week. The album was notable for its collaborations, featuring a roster of prominent artists including Mac Miller's girlfriend at the time, pop superstar Ariana Grande, Anderson .Paak, Kendrick Lamar, Ty Dolla $ign, and CeeLo Green.
One of the album's standout tracks, "Cinderella," which features Ty Dolla $ign, experienced a remarkable resurgence during the summer. An emerging TikTok trend propelled the eight-minute exploration of love and lust into widespread popularity, leading it to explode on the charts. "Cinderella" reached the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 25, marking it as Mac Miller's second-highest charting single as a lead artist. Its momentum continues, as the track also secured a spot in the top 10 of the most recent Rhythmic Airplay chart.
Fans are encouraged to stream the 10th-anniversary edition of Mac Miller's The Divine Feminine to experience the newly released music and revisit this influential work.
