Scotland's biggest festival, TRNSMT is back for another year this weekend as huge artists are preparing to take to the stage at Glasgow Green. However fans can't help but seem to wonder what acts will be making a surprise appearance.

As the three day event is right around the corner, speculation continues to grow over who could be performing a secret set with organisers having previously stated that there could be a few surprises over the weekend.

The headliners for this year include 50 Cent on the Friday, Biffy Clyro on the Saturday and Snow Patrol on the Sunday, all performing on the main stage.

However, with Kneecap being axed from the line up and Lewis Capaldi's recent return to the spotlight at Glastonbury Festival main stage last month, fans seem to believe the Scots icon will show up at the festival.

Fans think due to Lewis announcing his arena tour that he will return to the stage at TRNSMT Festival, as it is the perfect place for his to perform his chart topping single Survive.

One fan took to Reddit to discuss their theory, writing: "I saw a billboard truck with a picture of Lewis Capaldi that said “Glasgow are you ready?” Or “I’m back Glasgow” I can’t remember as I was driving past it…. So I definitely think he’s gonna do a surprise gig at TRNSMT!"

Although other fans are not quite convinced the Someone You Loved singer will show up, as he appears to be in America at the moment promoting his latest single.

Additionally, other festival go-ers believe that the hit band Travis will undertake a secret set this year with Eagle eyed fans having noticed a gap in their touring schedule.

The Scottish rock band have been on the road for the past couple of months, but there is a gap in their schedule, they are not expected to return to tour until July 19 which could possibly suggest they will take the stage over the weekend.

Another fan favourite rumoured to be taking to the stage for a secret set, is Bishopbriggs singer Amy Macdonald. Taking to Reddit one fan wrote: "Amy Macdonald - got a tour to promote, is in Scotland on the Friday and the rest of the weekend clear."

However, just like Travis and Lewis, Amy has been relatively silent regarding whether or not she will perform a secret set at the festival.

While official stage times are yet to be announced or confirmed by festival bosses, the TRNSMT 2025 line up includes multiple high profile performers, such as Fontaines D.C, Twin Atlantic, The Script, Jake Bugg, Gracie Abrams and JADE.
