Lewis Capaldi presale ticket carnage as general sale set to start later this week

Lewis Capaldi is set to make his return to stage with an arena tour this autumn after his two year hiatus from performing. The presale went on sale today (July 8) at 9am and as expected the tickets were a sell out.

The Someone You Loved singer stunned fans when he made an unexpected return to the stage at Glastonbury Festival last month, before announcing an arena tour with an impressive 10 tour dates across the UK and Ireland.

Due to the star being out of the spotlight for two years, there was no doubt fans were patiently waiting for his big return to snag tickets as soon as he announced his next tour. And with tickets to his 2023 tour selling out instantly, this tour is expected to be the best one yet.

According to Lewis, over four times as many fans had already signed up for presale tickets than ever before, just days after the tour was announced.

But for people who were unable to get their hands on presale ticket, don't fear as general public sale starts at 9am on Thursday July 10.

Here is how to make sure you get your hands on tickets this Thursday (July 10), with advice from Gilad Zilberman, a resale ticket expert from SeatPick. The expert has provided valuable knowledge on how to secure exclusive and high-demand concert tickets for the upcoming tour:

Teaming up with friends to get tickets can significantly enhance your chances of securing a spot at popular events.

By distributing tasks among multiple people, each person can concentrate on one ticketing system, increasing efficiency and reaction speed to quickly snag tickets, especially when they're released in waves or selling on different websites.

This approach also maximises the likelihood of success by having backups in case a site crashes.

You want to minimise issues on the day, so ensure everybody trying to secure the tickets has signed up and logged into the ticket website first.

This will allow you to skip a few vital seconds in the process of paying and securing your tickets. It could make all the difference.

Also, for everything to run smoothly ensure your payment details are set up too to avoid panicking at the last minute.

Once you make it into the ticket queue, you should just stay in the queue and never be tempted to refresh your browser. If you do you might lose all your hard work and be kicked out to the back of the very long queue.

Stay patient and don't panic and you'll be able to get a ticket.

Missed the tickets? Be sure to check back on the sites after they say they're sold out.

Sometimes ticket payments don't go through, the website crashes and more tickets are still available. Keep checking for roughly two hours after release. You might just be lucky.

Although it might be tempting to purchase a ticket elsewhere if you weren’t successful on the day, be wary of who you’re buying from and do your research beforehand.

Never allow someone to send you a screenshot of a ticket as these are invalid or send payment before receiving the tickets.

If something looks too good to be true, it probably is.
